Aimy's Other Projects

My other projects are currently community and technology based.

• Learn Something Awesome is a series of public workshop events where members of the Austin community teach skills they possess to the public. They are informal and conversational, designed to introduce different people from the community to each other under the context of working on projects. The biggest challenges for me as an organizer is letting the public know that these workshops exist so they can participate. Fortunately, my PR campaigns have been successful and the project has gained consistent positive sponsorships local newspapers such as the Austin Chronicle and Daily Texan.
  
  
• Skillshare Austin is a project similar in goals to my Learn Something Awesome project, but will be on a much larger scale. The plan is to organize a weekend-long conference-style event for different Austin creative groups and individuals to teach workshops to the public. I am doing most of the technology work for this project and am organizing the event with others.
  
  
• Stinky and Winky Adventures is a graphic adventure and puzzle game that my partner Brandon Wiley and I are currently working on. I have done art and story-writing for this game, which you can check out on my creative work page. This project is fun but currently slow moving, as we only work on it in our spare time.
